Having graduated with a degree in English Literature from the University of Guelph and preferring the reading I’d sneak on the side to the canon we were made to read (or maybe it was the essays), I veered into a different career path while falling further down the rabbit hole of creative fiction.

With ten years of experience Beta reading, I find so much value in helping authors hone their craft, discovering the strengths they need to lean into within their works of fiction and the changes necessary to elevate their story so that it’s tight and bright, helping them stand out among the slush pile.

I’ve had a romance fantasy trilogy published with a small press in 2017 under a pen name, which was subsequently translated into Spanish (exciting!), though I’ve since taken back the rights to those works in order to go a different direction with my writing and spend more time helping authors.

I’m a mom/stepmom of a beautiful and chaotic blended family of three kids (one bio, two step), have one dog, one cat and ten chicks. I make chocolate dioramas in the winter, attempt headstands to gain perspective and squirrel books and writing into the dusty corners of each day.
